Habitat: Moorland
First views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks
Overnight: Horombo Hut
Short hike toward Zebra Rocks (~4,000m)
Return to Horombo Hut
Helps reduce altitude sickness risk
Overnight: Horombo Hut
Elevation: 3,720m to 4,700m
Hiking time: 6–7 hours
Habitat: Alpine desert
Early dinner and rest before summit attempt
Overnight: Kibo Hut
Midnight start
Kibo Hut to Gilman’s Point (5,685m)
Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m)
Descend back to Horombo Hut for breakfast and a short rest, then proceed to Horombo Huts for overnight
Hiking time: 10–14 hours (longest day)
Elevation: 3,720m to 1,870m
Hiking time: 5–7 hours
Receive summit certificates
Transfer back to the hotel
